In a message Elton John posted yesterday on social media, the singer shared he’s had struggles throughout the summer, “dealing with a severe eye infection,” leaving him with “only limited vision in one eye.” “I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye,” he explained.
John expressed his gratitude to “the excellent team of doctors and nurses ” and his family, “who have taken such good care of [him] over the last several weeks.” This hasn’t been the only health struggle John has faced this year as he underwent knee surgery in January and again in March.
John recently announced that his documentary “Elton John: Never Too Late” is set to premiere on Dec. 13 on Disney+. The documentary features never-before-seen concert footage of John over his 50-year career, as well a new song and present-day footage of him and his family.
