Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum has re-confirmed that Steven Tyler would not return to full-scale touring. The doubling down from Sorum comes after Tyler recently put on a live performance.

Tyler, who suffered a serious vocal injury in 2023, sang at his “Jam for Janie” event, performing Aerosmith classics alongside other artists. Sorum, who was the musical director for the event, explained, “Steven cannot put himself under the rigors of doing a full worldwide tour,” emphasizing that Tyler is a perfectionist who refuses to lip-sync or alter his songs. He suggested that Tyler may perform short sets in the future but not a full tour.
