Iconic 70s rock band Kansas has cancelled two shows following lead singer Ronnie Platt’s announcement of his diagnosis with thyroid cancer.
Platt shared the news on social media, revealing a 99% survival rate for the cancer that has not spread beyond his thyroid.
Platt assured fans he would be back soon, referencing the band’s hit song “Carry On Wayward Son.” Kansas, known for hits like “Dust in the Wind” and “Carry on Wayward Son,” celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2023 and have continued to tour with a changing lineup of musicians.
