The Smithsonian Institution is presenting a James Smithson Bicentennial Medal to Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.

Susan Tedeschi from the Tedeschi Trucks Band and Gloria and Emilio Estefan will also get medals in honor of their “contributions to the American experience through music.”

The four musicians will accept their awards during a ceremony at the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, December 8th.
