U2 announced a residency at the MSG Sphere in Las Vegas in front of one of the largest audiences the band has ever faced: the millions of people who will tune in for Super Bowl 57.
The news comes one day after the Irish band posted a cryptic message on its website that shows a giant baby head — which is in a sphere — looking down on the Las Vegas landscape.
Sources say the baby represents the band’s 1991 album Achtung! Baby, which the band will focus on during its run at the MSG Sphere.
U2’s MSG Sphere residency, which will open the venue, is expected to get underway in September.
