KISS’s final tour is soon coming to an end and Gene Simmons is looking forward to the future.

In a new interview, Simmons said he feels “great and grateful” for getting to perform for as long as he has.

He explained, “There’s a great sense of pride. The idea that anybody would give me a chance. To be able to get a job that allows you to wear more makeup and higher heels than you ever wore and get paid well for it. It doesn’t get better than that.”

Simmons says he isn’t retiring though, saying he still has a lot going on.

He said, “Well we actually have a restaurant chain called Rock & Brews, and I have a film company. I’m the luckiest guy in the world. I’m deliriously happy.”
